Surrey Feb 2019 Half Term Activities
So Spring feels like it is on its way with daffodils already making an appearance...hurrah. Then all too quickly half term is upon us with a welcome week worth of no school runs.
We are having a week of catching up with family & friends.... a family birthday dinner for our now 14 year old Mia, Rosie & I are going to see Buckingham Palace and the soldiers, sleepovers, and ALSO pjs until at least 9am...can't wait!
I've put a list of activities together to keep your little & big ones busy and to help you get out there in the sunshine if it sticks around!
The Great Brick Safari
You can search for 40 animals and plants built in LEGO® in and around the gardens There will be loads of information about each animal or plant including their habitats, the food they eat and the conservation efforts going on around them. You can also join a LEGO® bricks making workshop in the Glasshouse Gallery; buy your chosen LEGO® bricks animal and away you go. As a fun souvenir, have your photo taken in the LEGO® bricks jeep.
Half Term Fun
Its lambing time and there are over 70 lambs due in the barn and you might get the chance to see one make an appearance. There is a 'Meet the Shepherd' session where you can ask about all things sheep.
Birds of Prey demonstrations are going on Mon-Fri. There is also the usual animal handling, goat milking, Tractor rides and the most popular pig racing....its hilarious...choose you favourite pig they are usually named 'Harry Trotter' 'Peppa Pig' or "Kevin Bacon' and watch them run!
